Configure Email for Outlook (IMAP)

Outlook 2007 – 2013
Note: Before you start this process, you will require your email and password in order to configure your new account.
  1. Step 1 is version dependent;
Outlook 2007
Start/Open Outlook, then
click Tools - Account Settings
Outlook 2010+
Start/Open Outlook, then
click File - Info - Account Settings
  1. Add the connection and details for the new server, click New

  2. (Skip if you’re using Outlook 2013+) Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next

  3. Select Manually configure server settings then click Next

  4. Select one of the following then click Next

Outlook 2007 - 2010

Outlook 2013+

  1. Enter the following account information;
    1. Your Name
    2. E-Mail Address
    3. Set the Account Type  to: IMAP
    4. Set Incoming mail server to:
    5. Set Outgoing mail server (SMTP) to:
    6. Set your User Name to your fully qualified e-mail address
    7. Use the same e-mail password that was issued to you
    8. Check Remember password
    9. Click More Settings

  2. On the General name your account to then select the Outgoing Server tab

  3. Check in the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication, then select the Advanced tab

  4. Configure as follows;
    1. Check in the This server requires (SSL)
    2. Ensure that the Incoming Server (POP3) port is 993
    3. Change the Outgoing server (SMTP) port is 587
    4. Select SSL from the Use the following type of encrypted connection dropdown
    5. DOUBLE check the PORT #’s 993 and 587 then Click OK
    6. Click Next

  5. You should now see the original Acuren account along with the newly created account.
    1. Highlight the account and click Set as Default
    2. Click Close
