DCC - DCS97 GPS Configuration

 

Configure GPS (Where needed)

1)      In order to use the DCS97 installation on the DCC to fetch GPS coordinates, you will need to map the 1000Data folder on the DCC test system. If this has already been completed skip to step 14. Otherwise continue at step 2.

2)      Single left click on the “Start” button.

3)      Single left click on the “Run” button.

4)      In the “Run” Field type CMD then single left click on the “OK” button.

5)      At the black command window type in the command IPCONFIG then hit the <Enter> key on your keyboard.

6)      Information will be displayed. Locate the IP address that looks similar to “192.168.1.251” or “192.168.1.250”. Write down the IP address. This will be required in this procedure later.

7)      Single right click on the “Start” button then single left click on the “Explore” option.

8)      When windows explorer opens, single left click on the “Tools” option on the upper tool bar.

9)      Single left click on “Map Network Drive” from the pop-up window.

10)  Select “Z:” from the “Drive” drop down menu. If the “Z:” letter is already in use, simply select a different letter from the drop down list. Write down the drive letter you used.

11)  In the “Folder” field type in \\192.168.1.250\1000data or \\192.168.1.251\1000data depending on what IP address the DCC is configured with. Refer to the IP address that was written down in step 6.

12)  Make sure “Reconnect at login” has a check in the check box.

13)  Single left click on the “Finish” button to complete the drive mapping.

14)  Double left click on the “DCS97” icon on the desktop.

15)  Single left click on the “Utilities” button.

16)  Single left click on the “Test System/GPS” button.

17)  In the “Test System” field type GPS

18)  In the “Mapped Drive” field type the drive letter of the mapped drive. If you just mapped this drive, refer to the drive letter you selected in step 10.

19)  In the “Path Mapped” field type in the path of the mapped drive. If you just mapped this drive, refer to the path you mapped to in step 11. This will be \\192.168.1.250\1000data or \\192.168.1.251\1000data depending on what IP address the DCC is configured with. Refer to the IP address that was written down in step 6.

20)  In the “DFT File Path” field type c:\dcs97\tsfiles.

21)  Single left click on the “OK” button to save the changes.

22)  Single left click on the “Return to Main” button.

23)  Single left click on the “Exit DCS” button to close DCS97.

24)  Single left click on the “Yes” button.

25)  DCS97 GPS configuration is complete.
